AppSys welcomes four new employees this month!

Even during the COVID-19 crisis, AppSys continues to recruit actively. This month, Brecht, Ruben, Wouter, and Raf joined our team. Starting a new job during these times certainly presents unique challenges. Here's what they have to say about their experiences during the first few weeks:
Brecht Geunes from Pelt, Network Engineer
“One thing that immediately struck me was the open company culture at AppSys. There's a great, familial atmosphere where everyone is ready to help each other. Despite just starting my second week, I've already gained a lot of experience. I find the diversity within the job very positive, as I came from a role with a very delineated task list. You immediately feel like you can contribute, which is very motivating. You dive right into things from the beginning and quickly get swept up in the organization's dynamics. You get the whole picture from design to implementation, including post-service support. This means you gain hands-on experience right away and can start helping clients. Many companies talk about customer centricity, but it often remains just empty promises. At AppSys, you immediately tackle the challenges of the customer and put this into practice from day one!"
Wouter van de Schans from Ham, Managed Services Engineer
“Starting, of course, came with a healthy dose of nerves. However, they quickly disappeared because I found myself in a very pleasant environment with a positive atmosphere and great colleagues. I can turn to anyone if I have questions, and my coordinator provides excellent guidance. I didn't expect there to be so much activity, but work continues here during times of crisis. It's a big advantage that we can perfectly assist our clients remotely. The past few weeks have been very instructive, and I'm very grateful for this opportunity. I'm looking forward to what lies ahead!”
Ruben Schoups from Hasselt, Service Desk Engineer
"It was a bustling atmosphere right from the start. During my onboarding, I immediately joined the service desk team and thus had the opportunity to initiate things independently and link theory to practice. The coaching and guidance from the various coordinators as well as the rest of the team are a great support and give a significant boost. You can turn to them with all your questions, and not just them. The directors, Werner and Kris, are also always there for you, showing that you are definitely not just a number at AppSys."
Raf Wellens from Pelt, Business Development Manager
"We're currently living in extraordinary times, and COVID-19 brings a lot of uncertainty for many companies in our sector. At AppSys, however, there isn't much sign of this. The momentum isn't seen as a threat but as an opportunity, and it's being seized with both hands. Some colleagues still work from home, but there's a buzz of productivity. The entire organization is giving 200% to continue guaranteeing the high quality standards our clients are used to. The way the whole team continues to pull together also characterizes the culture within AppSys, surpassing even the high expectations I had. Over the past few weeks, I've mainly used the time to get to know everyone. I've had many inspiring conversations and brainstorming sessions and can't wait to work with my colleagues to develop plans. We're heading for very exciting times, and I'm convinced that we'll emerge very strong from this crisis!"
