Certain processing of personal data by the data controller is based on the legal basis of its legitimate interest. In the rare event that data must be processed outside the EEA, AppSys will provide the necessary guarantees that the recipient has agreed to treat/process the personal data in accordance with the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission. The GDPR has tightly regulated the transfer of personal data outside the EEA. SCCs are model agreements under which this data can be transferred to external processors outside the EEA.
AppSys reserves the right to disclose the user's personal data when necessary due to compelling legislation or regulations, a legal procedure, or an order from a judicial and/or public authority.

The data controller always makes the necessary efforts to guarantee the security of your data. Comprehensive technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure the necessary level of security and protect your data against the risks related to data processing. The data controller takes into account the context and purpose of the processing, as well as the rights and freedoms of the users.
The necessary security measures are taken to protect the personal data obtained via the Website from loss, misuse, falsification, and unauthorized changes.
In the event that the user's personal data is handled unlawfully, the data controller will act quickly and appropriately to identify the cause and resolve the situation. The data controller will inform the user thereof if the law requires.
Retention Period

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy is subject to Belgian law. Disputes between parties will be settled by the competent courts in Hasselt.
Miscellaneous Provisions
The data controller reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. The amended version becomes effective immediately upon publication.
