Sustainable business practices are more than just a buzzword for us. At AppSys, we are committed to embedding corporate social responsibility into the DNA of our organization. That's why we strive to integrate the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into everything we do whenever possible.

We see diversity as a wealth and encourage our employees to bring their individual experiences, skills, and potential into the group, offering them a respectful work environment where appreciation is paramount. Our focus is on the talent and potential of the individual regardless of gender, orientation, or cultural background. We also see it as our social responsibility to integrate people with work challenges into our organization and guide them in building their careers. In collaboration, we deliberately leverage these differences and encourage our people to view projects from various perspectives. Everyone can contribute to our business objectives according to their abilities, regardless of rank, function, or task, resulting in creative and distinctive solutions.

Satisfied employees who feel good are more productive, show more engagement, and are less absent. Happy employees in a healthy and safe work environment are, according to us, the driving force behind the success of our enterprise. We strive for an open culture where everyone can interact with each other in an honest and respectful manner. Naturally, this is the central objective of a sustainable HR policy. We pay close attention to both the physical and mental well-being of our employees.
Some of our initiatives include:
- Ergonomic workstations with height-adjustable desks, curved monitors, and quality office chairs
- Employees have the opportunity to lease a bike at a very favorable rate
- Weekly provision of fresh fruit at each office
- Throughout the year, our employees can participate in various sports events

02. Environment
"There is no planet B."
Energy.
Sustainable energy management is an absolute priority, and we strive to continuously measure and improve our performance. Over the past years, we have made significant investments in renewable energy and the purchase of energy-efficient LED lighting and equipment. Furthermore, we also consistently focus on raising awareness and motivating our employees to actively contribute to our sustainable environmental policy by sorting waste and being mindful of electricity, water, and paper usage. When developing projects for our clients, we always seek the least environmentally impactful solution.
Sustainable Mobility.
Our fleet of more than 50 vehicles has the most impact on our ecological footprint. Therefore, we are fully committed to sustainable mobility. Greening our fleet is central to this effort. That's why we decided in early 2021 to stop leasing new fossil fuel cars and only offer fully electric vehicles to employees. Additionally, various initiatives are being implemented to promote fuel-efficient driving behavior. Furthermore, we are constantly exploring additional initiatives to achieve our ultimate goal: a carbon-neutral fleet by 2030.
Circular Economy.
We are committed to contributing maximally to the circular economy by minimizing our waste streams.
This is achieved by:
- Sorting waste as much as possible in all our offices.
- Delivering products unpacked and providing separate disposal of packaging and protective materials so that they can be processed into new raw materials, e.g., insulation.
- Extending the lifecycle of used hardware by selling it (trade-in) or donating it to charities.
- Ensuring the disposal and recycling of our own e-waste and that of our customers through a certified partner.

We are aware of the social responsibility we bear as an organization within society. For us, sustainable business means, first and foremost, acting in accordance with our norms and values and always respecting laws and regulations. We continuously ensure that our suppliers and partners also consistently adhere to these principles in every collaboration.
Fair Marketing
All our partnerships are built on trust. Therefore, honest marketing is a firm commitment, and we will always strive to inform the market in the most objective and transparent manner possible.

We support various local initiatives aimed at reducing poverty.
