AppSys Implements SD-WAN for Carglass

The era of expensive MPLS networks seems to be over. More and more companies are turning to SD-WAN (Software Defined WAN) technology. With this technology, it's much easier for companies to connect various business locations to the internal network. Traditional routers are completely replaced by SD-WAN solutions, such as the Next-Generation firewalls from Barracuda that AppSys implemented for Carglass Netherlands across the country.

The transition to this technology meant enormous savings for Carglass. A business case couldn't be simpler! All Carglass locations in the Netherlands were connected via an expensive and relatively slow MPLS solution. This network was replaced by fast internet connections, combined with a 4G or DSL connection as backup.

This way, no expensive guarantees are paid to a provider anymore, but the Barracuda NGF firewalls handle the necessary redundancy between the relatively inexpensive internet connections.

AppSys guided and supported Carglass throughout the entire project. This intensive collaboration ensured a "smooth" transition to this new technology!
