Sumitomo Bakelite Europe NV is known as an international market leader in phenolic chemistry compounds, thermosetting materials, and high-quality plastic solutions. The company is part of the global SBHPP group, with its parent company based in Japan. For the development, production, and sales of its products, the chemical giant has a facility in Genk where about 140 employees work.

Last week, AppSys replaced their servers and storage infrastructure, as well as performed a migration of their virtual workload from Hyper-V to VMware. Their storage was replaced by Dell PowerVault ME5024 units based on iSCSI with replication set up between both data centers.
