Microsoft has announced that as of January 1, 2026, the prices for a number of products in the SPLA range (Service Provider License Agreement) will increase.

Who does this apply to?

The price increase applies to organizations using the following on-premises SPLA server products:

  • Exchange Server
  • SharePoint Server
  • Skype for Business Server
  • Dynamics GP, NAV, and SL (with the exception of certain specific user licenses)

What exactly is changing?

The prices of the products listed above will increase by 10%. For other SPLA products, such as Windows Server and SQL Server, nothing will change for now (except for possible currency adjustments).

Microsoft emphasizes that this adjustment is necessary to continue supporting and developing on-premises Office server products. For Dynamics products, this price increase ensures better alignment between different licensing models and distribution channels.
